Sicilian woman who used to live in Ireland works here. Cat called Tonno (Tuna) patrols the garden.
Scopello Pane Cunzatu (Panifico)
Bakery serving a small menu starring an excellent Pani Cunzato (anchovy sandwich), Sfinicione (Sicilian Pizza) and Cassatelle (sweet fried dough with ricotta centre).
Enjoy in the courtyard outside or takeaway.

Pensione Tranchina
Located on the ground floor of a B&B in the middle of the town. Serving a set dinner menu, which changes daily (pasta, fish, fruit, desert). One timed seating a day, book the table ahead.

The restaurant at La Travernetta hotel in the centre of the town. They have a large outdoor dining area with panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Good service and great food. Try the tuna belly if it's available.

Tenute Plaia
Located on the way into Scopello, a short walk outside the town. Located in a hotel built around a central courtyard with dining area in the garden overlooking the sea. Come early for an aperitif and to watch the cats play in the grass before the sun goes down.

Ristorante Bar Nettuno
Pasta, Seafood and Meat dishes in the courtyeard of the Baglio or overlooking the sea from their terrace.
There are some great beaches and swimming spots in Scopello and nearby.
Cala Baialuce is a small rocky cove with beautiful clear water. It's accessible through a residential area and is free to use. Great space for snorkeling.
Torre di Scopello (our wedding venue) operates a solarium sun deck and lounge chairs with private access to the sea. Tickets can be bought at the gate.
Tonnara di Scopello (the historic tuna fishery) operates as a swimming/sunbathing spot with a restaurant, cafe and museum. The venue also hosts events and isn't available to the public on these dates. Worth a visit but worth booking your ticket online in advance.
Cala Mazzo di Sciacca
Rocky inlet with clear waters. Great for swimming & snorkeling. Beach chair are available to hire and a snack bar with food, beer and wine is on location.
Tonnara
This is an old tuna fishery that stands as a testament to the village’s maritime heritage. This historic complex, set against a backdrop of towering sea stacks and crystalline waters, is a focal point for visitors, providing unique insight into the traditional Sicilian way of life that has persisted through the centuries. Come here to swim, visit the museum or hang out for the day. We recommend booking your ticket ahead.

Castellammare del Golfo
Town on the sea 10mins drive from Scopello. Known for its medieval fortress in the harbour. If you're staying in self catering accommodation and want to stock up on some groceries we recommend stopping off in Castellammare del Golfo on your way to Scopello.
San Vito Lo Capo
San Vito Lo Capo is a small seaside town in northwestern Sicily. It’s known for its beach, which is on a sheltered bay overlooked by Mount Monaco. In the town center, the 15th-century Santuario di San Vito is a fortress-like structure with Arab-Norman architecture. Also notable are the tiny Santa Crescenzia chapel and the circular Torrazzo watchtower.
